The Academy: Exclusive Cornel West Interview

On January 24, 2009, I had the honor of sitting down for a few minutes with Dr. Cornel West, one of the world's prominent African-American Studies scholars to discuss social change in schools in the era of NCLB and Barack Obama. What is the Academy?

The Academy is an attempt to address ALL concerns about public schooling, find the best solutions, and incorporate them into a blueprint for an actual school. One of us may pick up the ideas, create this school and set an example for what a school can be.
